Horseracingpark

Virtual Horse Racing Games

If you want a game, as close to real life as possible, then Horseracingpark (HRP) , is for you. Registering from here will give you 5 free horses 6 if you verify your account! Verifying your horseracingpark account turns it from a free game, into the full game, where you can, if playing well, earn money from racing or breeding. Even with a verified account, you can play for a minimum amount of outlay each month, by racing at either one of the small tracks or at MNR, a FREE to enter (though NO prize money) Track.

Whether you are purchasing a horse with cash or vouchers, you will have the choice of age, sex and color. The horse is then created and will have the name [Hiptag ********] or something similar. You can re-name your Horseracingpark horse at anytime; however you can't race it until it is named! The cost of a horse is $8 or free with a voucher.

There are three other ways of obtaining a Horseracingpark horse. Claiming, Auction and Breeding.

Claiming is done from the race entries page. The prices start at $1 and can go as high as $100. The advantage of claiming is that you have an idea of what you are purchasing and not subject to a random chance.

The Auction runs 4 times a year. Horses at Horseracingpark can be sold or bought for prices of $1 upwards. It has been known for some horses to sell for many hundreds of Dollars!

Breeding happens four times a year at Horseracingpark and only retired horses can breed. If you don't have any, then you can lease Fillies and Mares. These can be leased from $1 upwards. To breed, you can use your own Studs or try and use a public Stallion. These range again from $1 upwards. There is an $8 charge to breed wether you use the public Stallions or your own Horseracingpark Stallions. Stallions can breed 40 times a year and Mares 4 times. The Mares can breed 20 times minus the number of years they raced in. So on average about 18 times. If you want to, you can pay an extra $1, to BC nominate (Breeders Cup) your horses, worth doing as the prize money for that event runs into many thousands of dollars.

Training can be done using, Rest, Training or Works. Each time the horse is trained, it has an effect on its Meters. These tell you it's Stamina level, Condition level and Consistency level. The rules gives a full guide on how these are effected by using the three methods. However, to get the best result from you Steeds, never run unless the Stamina and Condition are both in the Green. Having the Consistency level at +5 will also help with it's performance.

My method, for training new horses, based on looking at other horses from top stables at Horseracingpark, is to give a couple of runs over 5 furlongs on the day of birth. Then when fully fit, run it again over 5f. Each subsequent run add the blinks etc until you stop finding improvement. If any item does not work, then discard. So after 7 runs, you will know its likes. Then try it on turf, to see if there is a preference for one surface over the other (bare in mind turf is often faster than dirt). By taking things slowly, it will take about 2 months to get a real feel for your horse, then RACE it!

It will cost you $1 a month per horse, (subject to a maximum of $25 in a month) to have your horses running and training at Horseracingpark. However, if you take a break, place your horses on the farm (HRP Track). When you come back you will only have to pay for the current month. Don't forget, they will be able to run for a number of years and not months as in most games!
